The Earth From Above

These images are extracted from „The Earth From Above“, a project of photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand , who has undertaken an aerial survey of the state of our planet at the end of the twentieth century based on colour photographs taken from helicopter or small aeroplane. Under the patronage of UNESCO, the project has sought to establish a unique photographic data bank of striking images on the natural state of the world and its transformations.
